Ever since Atticus first opened its doors we have donated a portion of quarterly sales to an organization or individual that generates GOOD in our community.
Typically we select the recipient and write a check at the end of the quarter. When applicable and appropriate, we'll also share some information about the recipient so our customers know a little more about who their purchases helped.
This quarter, we are doing things a little different.
In His Hands Children's Home reached out with an inquiry about receiving our donation and I started doing some research on their work. What I found touched my heart and I know it will touch yours as well!
Since opening in 2023 this organization has housed 70 girls and specializes in quality residential care of neglected, abused, and homeless children ages 0-17.
I found a series of photos on their Facebook page "introducing" some of the girls in their care (with names and faces obscured to protect their identities, of course). These photos share fun facts about the girls like their hobbies and interests. Some share what they want to be when they grow up.
Multiple girls shared that their goals are to be a "foster mom" or "work at a children's home". I think this speaks volumes about the love and security these girls receive when they are under this organization's roof.
This quarter (October-December 2025) we are committing to a one-time donation to In His Hands Children's Home, but we are telling you NOW, so that as you are making decisions over the upcoming gift-giving season you'll know exactly who your purchases are helping.
We will also have a "spare change" jar available at checkout for any additional contributions you would like to make.
Please consider looking up this wonderful organization and sharing with your friends, relatives, churches, etc...
They do receive some state funding, but that only goes so far. Extra contributions equate to extra memories and positive experiences for the precious girls in their care!
